Moon cake, happy Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival

Well, it's hard to find moon cake in Tucson, in order to celebrate the mid-autumn festival, we went for LiLi supermarket to buy moon cake, I'm so glad to share moon cake and Chinese culture with my American friend. Something disappointed is that I didn't take the photos of we eating moon cake!

    I went to the Li Li market to get moon cakes also, but they don't really have too have flavors as in our homeland. In China, the flavor and style of moon cakes are very different from region to region. For example, the northern side Chinese people like sweet flavor moon cakes, but the southern side prefer the salty ones. So northern use sweet beans as stuffing to make the moon cake, but the southern like to use meat

    I love moon cakes! I also buy the moon cakes, but on online. By the way, you can buy moon cakes on online by using TaoBao, it is very convenient and quickly, and also there are many flavour you can choose. You can try it, and you will love it!

  Today I want to talk about the record breaking anime movie :《Your Name》, there is one scene attracts me a lot is that when  heroine Mitsuha makes Kuchikamaisake and dance for praying to the god. It is some kinds of festival actives in Japan, I refer some materials in the net and share with you guys. Kuchikamizake   (口噛み酒, " "mouth-chewed   sake ") is a kind of rice-based alcohol produced by a process involving human   saliva   as a   fermentation starter . Kuchikamizake was one type of the earliest sake. Kuchi means "mouth", kami means "chew" and zake is the   rendaku   form of "sake." "Kuchikami no sake" is a synonym. Description Kuchikamizake has an opaque, whitish colour and tastes quite sour. It is made when someone, ideally a virginal girl, chews cooked rice and then spits the  resulting liquid  into a container. Korea traditional music instruments: drum

last Thursday, our Korea teacher Mrs. Klocko come to our class and show the traditional Korea culture for us. She played traditional Korea drum for us, which is really impressed me a lot. It is not like big drum in China, the drum in Korea is much smaller and seem like more elegant. Klocko played the drum rhythmic and the rhythm made me addicted to this music. After her wonderful show, she let some of us try to go to the front and play the drum, it is pretty fun.

Chinese culture: 年年有鱼

  In China, fish is symbol of lucky and happiness, there is a idiom: 年年有鱼 in China, means we hope we can left something for the next year, and the last word of the idiom is 余 means left, it has same pronounce as 鱼（fish）in Chinese, so we like using fish as the lucky symbol. There are some interesting pictures below show how much our Chinese people like this symbol.
